How Roblux skins are made

From the first silhouette to the final colorway, every character is built around a clear theme and a little surprise.

Character design

More than a different outfit

A strong avatar skin should read at a glance. We start with shape, mood and palette, then build the clothing, accessories and expression around one idea.

From blank avatar to character

Shape first. Details second.

Each design begins with a role: explorer, builder, fighter, trickster or something completely new. The silhouette establishes that role before texture and color are added.

Small details come last. A single prop, material or accent color should strengthen the character instead of making the skin harder to read.

Mystery packs

A theme, with the reveal saved for last

Mystery packs combine coordinated character concepts, alternate colorways and surprise details. The theme is known; the final combination stays hidden until the pack is delivered.
